Is there more than one God?

Christianity believes (because the Bible declares) that there is only one God. And as we learned yesterday in Question 4, there are specific things to be believed about that one God as revealed in the Bible.

A Heart Song

To paraphrase, because Jesus demonstrates grace toward us and provides a means of dealing with our sin and rebellion, we have a reason to have joy even when our life circumstances are not what we would like them to be.

Not based on circumstances

What hit me this morning is that none of the conditions listed by Jesus are tied to the current situation of the one to be blessed. The conditions for blessing are internal and not external. They are based on choices we can make, not circumstances forced upon us.
