Now is the day . . .

What I heard in this phrase this morning is: Now is the day to repent of failure and begin again. Now is the day to be transformed (Romans 12:2). Now is the day to continue the process of being redeemed from the effects of sin.

Conformity versus unity in the church

I have observed that in some cases when a pastor or church leader speaks about unity that what they mean is conformity. There is a big difference. Unity is motivated from the inside out, conformity is enforced from the outside.

Stumbling blocks: how we live matters more than our words

Parents and church leaders, the best thing we can do for the next generation is to renounce our selfishness and come to meet Jesus at the Cross in humility and submission. We need to confess where we have compromised and seek to recover the ground that was lost. We want to hear the words of Matthew 25:21, “well done good and faithful slave.” We need to live lives that point to the reality of the Gospel.
