The bottom line is that I don’t need to be validated by others when I am a servant of Jesus Christ, because Jesus gives me the ultimate status as a child of God.

Don’t bet against the church

Bottom line is, don’t bet against the church, the true church made up of true believers. God will continue to call people into relationship with himself, no matter who is at the helm of the religious organizations that call themselves churches.

Hammer and Anvil

Between the hammer and the anvil

The iron goes into the fire to be heated and then is moved to the anvil to be hammered into the desire form. The process is repeated until the smith is satisfied with the result.

On the Kindness of God

In the same way, we need to present God as the loving father who is waiting for all of us to turn to him. But our turning to him is initiated by our repentance. With proper understanding of the kindness and the holiness of God, repentance is the only reasonable response.

Wanting the Real God

I don’t know about you, but when I want something, I don’t want a cheap imitation. If I order a Coca-Cola Classic, I would be somewhat disappointed to be given a random, private-label, store-brand generic cola. Authenticity matters. However, it doesn’t just matter in soda. It also matters when we are talking about God.
