It may be true that the church has been out of balance the the preaching of “hellfire and judgment” to an unhealthy degree. What does Scripture say?

Good news . . . bad news

I have some really good news and some (sort of) bad news.

The church is not the only army that shoots its wounded

I have heard it said that the church is the only army that shoots its wounded. After hearing all the fuss about Adrian Peterson these last few weeks, I now know that this statement is not true. It is not false because the church does not shoot her wounded. It is false because the church is not alone in this behavior.

Between the hammer and the anvil

The iron goes into the fire to be heated and then is moved to the anvil to be hammered into the desire form. The process is repeated until the smith is satisfied with the result.
