The Storm Before The Calm: Why Utopias Fail

The Bible predicts that things will get worse before they get better hence the title The Storm Before the Calm. We should not be surprised at the increasing political, social and moral chaos. Yet in the end, we know that every knee will bow to Jesus Christ as we are reminded by the Apostle Paul.

A note of warning

But the writer of Proverbs warns us that such deception does not go unnoticed by God. Deception is, and always be, an abomination to The LORD.

On those who have walked away

Honesty demands that we admit our struggles to work out our faith. Real faith is at times a gritty mess and we all face difficult times. My experience is that God remains faithful even when we are faithless, as Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 2:13. Feeling doubt and even expressing doubt does not automatically disqualify someone from being relationship with God.

Most of the time the changes I make to Attempts at Honesty are minor ones that (to my knowledge) don’t affect the user experience very much. This week I made a change that might be an exception to this. I transitioned from the native Wordpress comment system to using the Lifefyre comment system.
