Yes, that is a log in my eye, thank-you

Jesus used a humorous illustration to caution us against finding fault with our brothers. We must first remove the log from our own eye.

CPR

Spiritual CPR – No Insurance Required

What is important is that I had it ALL. I had been a practicing Christian since my youth. My faith was growing. My relationship with God was solid. I had a great income. My children, though typical teenagers, were doing well. All the boxes were checked. Life was sweet UNTIL a mistake at work was made on my watch. The bottom fell out of my life. My heart figuratively stopped beating and God began to perform Spiritual CPR in order to save my life.

Wrong Answer

All the right answers but still wrong

The lesson we should learn from this is that we can have all the right answers but still be wrong. We can say all the right things and still be far away from where we need to be.

Second Chance

The God of new beginnings and second chances

Failure is a normal part of life. How does God respond to our failures? He gives a second chance and gives us the power to do better.

Question 5

Is there more than one God?

Christianity believes (because the Bible declares) that there is only one God. And as we learned yesterday in Question 4, there are specific things to be believed about that one God as revealed in the Bible.

Diversity

Division vs. Diversity in the Church

I’ve been thinking about my post of 5 days ago regarding division in the church and feel the need to clarify something. Unity in the church does not equate to uniformity. We should not all look the same inside the church because the people in the culture around us are not all the same. Within the bounds of correct belief and practice is the opportunity for diversity.
