The blessing of forgetting

Perhaps forgetting is choosing to no longer let those things determine our path forward. The choice is to not let those things define us but allow God to give us a fresh start.

Waterless clouds

In a drought, clouds forming on the horizon bring hope of much needed rain. If those clouds pass overhead without producing rain, the hope they engendered is dashed. Therefore waterless clouds are useless to those in need of rain.

Because God no longer occupies center stage, terms like self-love, self-expression, self-confidence, and delf-fulfillment, none of which graces the pages fo the Scriptures, begin to dominate the church’s conversation. Where mercy and justice meet

God does not have to reconcile his justice with his mercy because there was a plan in place from eternity to provide a means of reconciliation that is both perfectly merciful and perfectly just. It is the Cross of Christ that makes this possible. It is at the Cross of Jesus Christ that justice and mercy meet and neither is compromised.
