On viruses and great support

Posted on December 11, 2016 Written by Mark McIntyre Leave a Comment

A little while ago, I got a tweet in response to one of my posts, letting me know that a reader’s protection software identified Attempts at Honesty as being infected with a virus. In checking on this, it was found to be true.

Thanks to the excellent support of Nate at Davis Services Group, we are back to a virus free status. The one piece of this that I can explain is that Nate switched to a different virus protection plugin. There are other things that he told me he did, that I don’t really understand so I won’t bother attempting to do so.

So, please accept my apology for any disruption that this caused you.

When treated like a servant . . .

The bottom line is that I don’t need to be validated by others when I am a servant of Jesus Christ, because Jesus gives me the ultimate status as a child of God.

Good News

Is it really good news?

The word gospel literally means “good news.” In Greek, the word is euanggelion from which we derive our English words, evangelical and evangelism. So, an evangelical church is one that preaches the Gospel or good news of Jesus Christ. The question that strikes me this morning is, “are we really offering good news?” I have […]

Church

Whose church is it anyway?

Jesus’ statement, “upon this rock I will build my church,” was a declaration of ownership. In this post, I catalog five implications of this truth.

A Challenge from Os

I was challenged by this paragraph and thought I would share it: The faith-world of John Wesley, Jonathan Edwards, John Jay, William Wilberforce, Hannah More, Lord Shaftsbury, Catherine Booth, Hudson Taylor, D. L. Moody, Charles Spurgeon, Oswald Chambers, Andrew Murray, Carl Henry, and John Stott is disapearing. In its place a new evangelicalism is arriving […]
