A victim of friendly fire
It has been said that the church is the only army that shoots its wounded. Sometimes the wounds are caused by friendly fire. It is the responsibility of church leaders to identify and correct this when it happens.
On the need for a heart transplant
Preaching that does not call the hearers to repentance will not affect the heart of the hearers. Real change requires a change of heart.
Grace and sovereignty
To avoid stress and burnout in pursuit of our calling, we must rely on the sovereignty of God. We cannot do it all, but we must do what God calls us to do.
