The Bible App Project

There are plenty of Bible apps already out there, and some very cool ones I might add. However we’re going to provide something a little different and provide a different spin on them. Among the different types of apps we’ll have are prayer tools and games. We feel like the mobile app community is lacking some powerful religious apps. The mobile world is growing larger each day and we don’t want religion to get left out!

Walking worthy

It is not wrong to encourage someone to “walk worthy of the Lord” as long as we understand that the “worthy” is determined by God and is gauged by the internal and not the external reality. This verse is not a club to be used to bash people into conformity to a list of do’s and don’ts. It is not to be wielded in this way to squelch behaviors that make us feel uncomfortable.

Anger and Hate

When we, who identify as Christians. vent our anger and hurt others, we are misrepresenting the one we claim to worship since He commanded us against it. This is a clear violation of the Second of the Ten Commandments.

Now is the day . . .

What I heard in this phrase this morning is: Now is the day to repent of failure and begin again. Now is the day to be transformed (Romans 12:2). Now is the day to continue the process of being redeemed from the effects of sin.

Clouds as a metaphor

As I sat on that balcony, I could see that in a few moments the clouds would pass and blue sky and sunshine would return. As with the clouds which hide the sun for relatively short periods of time and then dissipate, the trials of life are not permanent and will likewise dissipate
